• Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD): The symptoms of chronic kidney diseases (CKD), which can last for months or years, include appetite loss and an overall feeling of being ill. When screened, those with diabetes, high blood pressure, and a bloodline member with CKD may be discovered to have the condition. A blood test for creatinine, a breakdown product of muscle metabolism, can detect chronic kidney disease (CKD).
• Acute Kidney Failure: The kidneys filter bodily fluids, particularly blood, as part of their function. Acute renal failure is the term used when this kidney function abruptly fails.
